Buyer also agrees to pay any costs involved in shipping of a puppy/dog

Both parties agree to the following terms of sale:

Lori Reuter Agrees:
1. This puppy is in good health at the time of sale. The buyer will have 5 days in which to have the puppy examined by their own veterinarian. During that time, the puppy may be returned for any reason to Avalor for a full refund, provided the puppy is returned in the same condition as on the date of sale. If the puppy is returned due to illness, a letter from the veterinarian is required. This includes death or illness or any health condition deemed to be present prior to removal of the puppy from Lori Reuter’s premises. Buyer shall assume any expenses associated with returning this puppy to Lori Reuter. Puppies may be returned for other reasons at any time during the life of the dog with the permission of Lori Reuter; however there will be no refund or replacement puppy without prior agreement between Lori Reuter and the buyer.

2. This puppy is represented as show/working quality but no guarantee is given that this puppy/dog will become a Champion or earn other titles. At that time of sale,
said puppy shows no defects, which would disqualify it from the show ring according to the breed standard. Should a disqualifying defect (bite or size) occur by
the time the dog is 24 months, Avalor Goldens will refund $ 500.00 within six months of notification and written verification of said defect by a veterinarian. Provided that written verification is received by Lori Reuter that the dog has been spayed/neutered. This refund policy applies only to the original buyer. (Also see paragraph #7)

3. Every reasonable precaution has been taken to prevent this puppy from acquiring hereditary hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, cataracts, or Sub aortic Stenosis. Due to the unknown hereditary and environmental causes of such defects, no guarantee will be given against them. However, should this puppy develop any of these problems deemed to be hereditary by 26 months of age, Avalor Goldens will refund $500.00 within six months of notification and written verification by OFA, (hips/elbows) CERF (eyes), or a Board Certified Cardiologist (heart). Provided that written verification is received by Lori Reuter that the dog has been spayed/neutered. No refund will be given if the dog is not examined by 26 months or if the dog has been previously bred. This refund policy applies only to the original buyer.

The Buyer Agrees:
4. That this puppy will be given adequate and proper shelter and housed securely. This dog shall not be neglected, allowed to roam free, or mistreated in any manner. This puppy will not routinely be tied or chained to a stationary object.

5. That the puppy shall receive proper veterinary care throughout its lifetime, receiving annual vaccination and heartworm preventatives. The puppy shall receive proper nutrition and care shall be taken to maintain its proper weight.

6. Every effort will be made to show this puppy and achieve his/her American Championship by the age of 5 years. This includes hiring a professional handler if needed.

7. The Buyer shall notify Lori Reuter first if for any reason the buyer no longer wants or is able to keep the puppy. Lori Reuter shall have first right of refusal if the puppy is to be sold or disposed of in any way. If Lori Reuter does not wish to have the puppy/dog returned, Lori Reuter will try to assist buyer in placing the puppy if the buyer chooses. If the buyer places the puppy/dog (with Lori Reuter’s permission) they will be entitled to retain any profits from the sale. If Lori Reuter places the puppy/dog she will retain 50% of the profits from the sale. If the buyer sells this puppy/dog without consulting the breeder, they will be required to pay Lori Reuter $1500.00.

8. Buyer agrees not to breed this dog or bitch without passing OFA hip/elbow evaluation, current CERF eye clearance, and heart clearance given by a certified cardiologist. The buyer also agrees not to sell any offspring to brokers, pet stores or out of North America. If the buyer does not comply with these terms, a $5000.00 fee shall be paid to Lori Reuter and she has the right to reclaim ownership of the dog/bitch.

9. The buyer agrees to make all serious effort to campaign this puppy/dog toward an AKC Championship and is encouraged to train and test for any and all performance titles offered for which the animal shows aptitude.

10. The buyer will notify Lori Reuter of any changes of address and will maintain contact with Lori Reuter throughout the lifetime of this dog. The buyer will notify Lori Reuter of any AKC, CKC or GRCA titles earned by this dog.

11. The buyer will register the puppy with AKC prior to 1 year of age with the prefix Avalor to appear first in the name and will select a registered name based on the “ ” litter theme. This means that “ “ shall appear somewhere after the kennel name. This puppy will be registered on full registration.

12. Buyer is responsible for any costs involved in shipping of a puppy/dog, including shipping costs involved if the puppy is returned for any reason. This includes but is not limited to air charges and crates. PROPER NOTICE must be given before returning any puppy for any reason to insure that Lori Reuter will be available to pick up the puppy at the airport. Failure to do so could endanger the safety of the puppy/dog.

13. If the puppy purchased is a female, the buyer agrees that if this bitch is bred; Lori Reuter receives a first pick puppy from one litter of Lori Reuter’s choosing. The bitch must first pass all clearances and the stud dog will be agreed on by both parties.
If the puppy purchased is a male and he passes all of his clearances, the buyer agrees to give Lori Reuter free breedings with any Avalor bitch of her choice.

14. Avalor Goldens and Lori Reuter give no guarantees or warranties, expressed or implied, except those stated herein.

15. Lori Reuter warrants and agrees that she is the lawful owner of this puppy and is alone responsible for entering into this contract with the buyer.
